Townsend act –
Townsend - An act passed in 1767
Quatering Act – This act allowed British Red Coast to live in the colonist homes.
Committee of Corespondence –In observance of the fiftieth anniversary of the founding of the World Federalist
Movement at Montreux on 17 August 1997, historians were invited who
studied the record of oral reminiscences of the movement, and who published
accounts, and joined a study circle or "committee of correspondence" on the
history of world federalism. They exchanged materials and drew out the lessons
of history and the wisdom of the movement to guide activists in the future.
Tea Act - In 1773, the East India Company had a lot of tea it could not sell in England
and was almost ready to close down its business. To help save the company,
the British Parliament passed the Tea Act of 1773. This allowed the company
to sell its goods to the colonies without paying taxes. This meant the East
India Company could sell their tea cheaper than the American merchants.
Intolerable acts - The Intolerable Acts were passed in 1774 to punish the colonists for the
Boston Tea Party. There were three major acts involved that angered the
colonists.
Quebec Act – The act gave Catholic French Canadians their tradition, legal rights and relgion.
